Lunchtime view

Firstly, thanks to everyone for the stars and hearts and most importantly, the lovely comments on my 12th anniversary blip yesterday.  It's been a busy day today and we have another long drive back home again tomorrow so I'm sorry I've not been able to reply individually.

Today was W's sister's big birthday.  We had arranged to treat her and an aunt and uncle to lunch where we are staying but that involved driving over to collect them all and deliver them back again afterwards, about 14 miles in each direction along winding country roads.  Not a problem at all, but it meant we have been busy all day.  A lovely lunch in the hotel and it was good to see everyone again.

I didn't have a chance to take any photos through the day apart from this; the view from our lunch table through the window of the restaurant.  On the evening we arrived we were entertained by a 'gang of four' lambs who were running around and playing on the bank of the river; today we were amazed at the number of sand martins that were flying around the river and nesting in the banks.
