Large Fungus

My wife noticed this fungus growing just outside our neighbour's garden wall. Iis in fact just a small part of a much larger fungus which sadly has  been broken down. Iy is about 6inches in diameter. and the larger bit was at least 12 inches across. I have tried to identify it and come up with a common name of Dryads Saddle( {polypores squmosus} but am definitely open to your suggestions as I feel the Picture It Mushrooms app is a bit too pricey for my needs.
