Grill evening
I overslept a bit today and the day got a slow start. My plan was to paint all the white areas, around the windows and door but I only had time to wash the areas clean with some old paint-wash that I found among my supplies. I noticed I didn't have any rubber gloves but decided that the paint-wash wasn't so aggressive so I did the job with ordinary cloth gloves. After the job was done and I made a lunch break I noticed a pain in my hands. When I took the gloves off, parts of my psoriasis on my knuckles looks like I had poured acid over them. They were bleeding and there was open wounds, all black. I rinsed the skin with water and soap and the pain stopped. Apparently the paint-wash was a lot more aggressive than I had thought even though the mix was only half a deciliter to a liter of water. Even now, late at night it looks horrible, like bits of my skin has been carved away, it doesn't hurt anymore though. I did go to the shop to buy proper rubber gloves though, there is an awful lot of washing still left to do.
My neighbour called to say there was a coffee and a rhubarb cake if I wanted so I had a long lunch break with extended coffee and cake, then there wasn't time for any painting, I had to get ready for this evenings grill where our group of friends brought something to grill and the hosts for the evening had prepared some potato sallad and some pudding. We shared the first real summer evening together outside in a pleasant garden with pleasant people and pleasant temperatures.
