Inca Wall in Seattle

Not serious of course, but these pieces of stone are crafted with such accuracy, that I wonder if the wall would hold together without mortar. The Inca technique is referred to as Ashlar masonry. This wall was a replacement for a Seattle home on North Capital Hill. We watched it being constructed by Pioneer Masonry. St the top of the steps, of course. NannaK (HCB)
