Burghley

Day one of Scotland Trip.

Drove to York (via Burghley).  OH driving and I suggested a more picturesque lunch stop than service station.  I visited Burghley when I worked at LC and it is an interesting place in a pretty village.  We only stayed an hour but it was sunny and the coffee hot!

Arrived at the hotel just outside York and had an hour or so to chill before meeting up with D&A for very long overdue catch up.  First met them in 1986 but not recently for a good few years.  Lovely people and lots of chat and wonderful meal (their treat). I was initially a bit nervous but worry was unnecessary.

Tomorrow second leg - up to Edinburgh.
