Leith

This action gives me the shivers. A wooden spoon in the mouth or worse between the teeth. So of course when the family knows of this the action has to be done to make me cringe aaargh.

We were back down to Edinburgh again to spend time with Cameron. We drove to the park and ride and got the tram to Picardy Place and met Cameron in a lovely Cafe down one of the streets. Great coffee and pastries. And fabulous music soundtrack on. The first cafe we came to was called Soderberg and we sat down and I ordered and then I asked where the toilets were and she said no toilets. I thought that every cafe had a loo! Cancel the order I said as I need the loo! We’d just travelled for an hour and I’d been drinking lots of water .

I’m glad of the change of venue as this place was quirky and cool. I had a some French style little pastry which was amazing.

Cameron joined us and we had a good chat. He’s enjoying in his new place. We decided to get the bus down to Leith and go to the Fishmonger restaurant there. Walked a good bit down to the harbour. It was a good day for being outdoors, sunny but blowy. There was a cruise ship docked some way over and folks were getting the little tenders over to it.

We sat outside at the Fishmonger. I had sole goujons and the other two had haddock. It was absolutely delicious. Such light batter and non greasy chips.

Got the bus back and got off near the playhouse . Cameron had a look in a record shop, he’s into vinyl. He bought tickets that morning for him and Ben to go to see Metallica next year. A far cry from his very first big concert that him and I went to when he was 11. Lionel Ritchie in June 2016 at McDiarmid Park, Perth! He actually loved that concert as much as I did and we had fab seats 6 rows from the front.

We also had a look in Toppings Bookshop and he’s taken up reading again so I bought him a book he wanted.

Walked up towards St Andrews Square . By this time it was 4:30! Where had the day gone! Cameron started his work at five and good timing, a tram had just arrived .

A quick goodbye and we were off . Lucca is very good on the tram and we try to get the front seats which we usually manage. It was boiling on the tram.

Good journey home and no need for tea, just a bit of toast.

Extra has the French pastry I had with the coffee
