Sunday
Long walk that took in a grave search in the cemetery, a look around fairground organs that were on the Green and a wander through town.
Whilst waiting for Clive, outside Gregg's, I spotted a woman and her daughter looking lost.
I said, "you look lost" whereby they admitted they were and I was able to help.
The mum looked vaguely familiar and I asked, "are you..." Without saying anymore than that, she said, "yes."
FYI, she was Dame Maggie Aderin Pocock, in Devizes to give a talk this evening. I gave them ideas of how to spend their day.
On the way home, we stopped to check on Violet. Her sister, Dorothy, came to the door and seemed relieved that here was someone who cared enough to check on Violet and she started to cry.
I don't know where she lives but I gave her my opinion and said they need to start looking at residential care. Dorothy is not local and I think she's in shock. She said her daughter had been to see Violet and didn't know where to start with cleaning/clearing the house.
Violet was out with her sister's husband. They had gone to the dump with a car load.
I plan to spend the rest of today in the garden.
Not so hot today.
