Sunday Morning

I felt like doing something this morning and not just stay at home. So I got out my backpack, added a bottle of water and set off for the lakeside. I took the metro part way down to stop at the Bread Store to buy a couple of sour dough loaves which I shall slice and put in the freezer. They will last me a while as I don't eat bread every day and only one slice at a time, often with scrambled eggs.

I walked the rest of the way down to the lake and drank a takeaway coffee on a bench in the shade overlooking the water.

There's a big rose garden along the lake and it was sheer joy for me to walk on grass among the wild flowers and also smell the gorgeous roses.  The lighting over the lake was a little strange, and not it's prettiest as the sky is turning a whitish colour with the clouds come over spelling rain for tomorrow. I have not included my only shot of the lake because it was not pretty enough!
