Wet, Wet

A decent nights sleep after reading in bed for some time and I slept late this morning…hoping to stay awake for the rest of the day now. Feeling much better though still a bit fuzzy headed. Managed some scrambled eggs on toast with ham for brunch and I’ve stewed the rhubarb I was gifted earlier in the week…mixed with a tub of strawberries the boys brought yesterday. The early strawberries at M&S are particularly delicious this year and quite a few didn’t make the pan…likewise the Chantenay carrots being prepared for a pot of lentil soup, I’ll not starve for a day or two. Back to my book now and a bit of tv later.

As I got up late this morning we had a torrential rain shower, it didn’t last too long and it has been reasonably bright this afternoon but it’s still very blustery. Hoping at least some of the rain penetrated the plant pots!
