A warming hot chocolate

The main event of the day was this morning's swim in Loch Faskally with Winsford and Mr hazelh. In the 28 minutes that we were in the water, we swam about 600 metres to the second pine and back again. It was wonderful!

The only downside was that Mr hazelh and I got very cold when dressing on the shoreline afterwards - so much so that Winsford had to buy us each a hot chocolate in the dam visitor centre to warm us up. Poor Mr hazelh lost all feeling in his fingers (blipped), and I couldn't sense my right heel for quite some time.

We left Pitlochry by car for Edinburgh soon after our swim. En route home, we stopped at Dobbies just outside Perth. Here we bought some herbs for our garden, and a warming bowl of soup with a sandwich for our lunch.

We saw Caitlin briefly this afternoon when we dropped off a package to be taken south to my middle sister (Paddy's mother) in a couple of weeks. Caitlin and Paddy had just arrived home too - from a very wet and midgey FyneFest2025. (We didn't see Paddy because he was out for a run.)

One of my jobs at the start of each month is to devise our evening meal menu up until the end, along with the big shopping list. This task kept me busy until supper time.

We'll catch up with Dr Who this evening.

Exercise today: walking (~11k steps); loch swimming.
