I was expecting to get wet on my walk with Tess this morning.  Amazingly we stayed dry!  Lots of showers throughout the day though.  Spotted this Dog Rose along the Hadrian's Wall footpath and couldn't resist taking one or two photos.  Further along the track I saw that a lot of the Dames Violet wildflowers had been cut down by someone strimming the edge of the footpath!!  I don't get why as they weren't protruding on the footpath, sigh!!  I seem to recall exactly the same happened last year.  Tess had some fun with a gorgeous and very young Pug/Jack Russell cross who ran very very fast.  Shame I didn't have my camera with me.
