Bog asphodel

June came in flaming - a lovely day. I was a bit wrecked after all the shenanigans yesterday so a bit of mowing, a bit of sitting in the sunshine and a gentle yomp up by the stone circle where the bog asphodels are just coming out. I love these vibrant little flowers which will soon carpet the bog in a vibrant yellow, getting more orange as the summer progresses.
