Peak Green

We are poised on the border between spring and summer. Meteorologically we need summer temperatures 5 days in a row before summer has officially arrived, and we haven't quite got there yet. However, we have had some very nice weather and everything seems to be growing very quickly now. All the trees have their leaves and everything is not just green but the really fresh green of the start of summer. Once summer gets going this luminous green is replaced by a darker version as the leaves age, or is that mature...
After I took this sunny picture I was back down into the cellar to finish off a couple of bits and pieces and then to start putting things back into place.
We took a break for a quick trip to a pop-up garden centre where we bought a few plants  and then home for a bite to eat, and after that back into the cellar!
Most of the stuff is now back in the cellar, including the beer that set off the whole project. The replacing of everything in the cellar is not quite finished because we went to a summer choir concert in a local church. It was a lovely concert, with some very traditional and some modern summer songs/hymns.
When we got home we could feel the weather had changed and things felt very chilly, so after listening to all those summer songs we put the heating on again!!
