Fence post

'New' (ornamental) fence post - used to be a beam in the old kitchen roof, before life holding up one of the front veg plot's raised beds. This week it's functionality in the veg garden was compromised by rotting bits giving way. On removal the remains (that used to be facing the soil) were discovered to be rather lovely - hence their new role in the back garden.
