What’s happened to the Careening Hard?
Interesting angle seemed difficult at first because unlike a camera, when you turn your phone the angle of the pic follows. But then I worked out that I could get about 45° angle and thought I’d try a double exposure. I’m quite pleased with the result; no actually I’m over the moon. Which of course leads me to the saying of the day…
Over the moon. Meaning: To be ecstatically happy. Origin: The origin of this one comes from the popular 16th century nursery rhyme, Hey Diddle Diddle: “Hey diddle diddle, the cat and the fiddle, the cow jumped over the moon. The little dog laughed to see such fun and the dish ran away with the spoon.”
I knew I was getting old but that nursery rhyme was popular when I was young and I’m sure that wasn’t in the 16th century!! But I have noticed from quiz shows on TV that Gen Zs no longer seem to know these old nursery rhymes. I guess they’re not on iPhones…
