MAMA HE'S MAKING EYES AT ME!!!!!

Such a lovely lovely day today.  At long last I met up with CumbriaLass, the first time since my diagnosis.  It was soooo good to catch up again.  Oh and CumbriaLass happened to have a new fur baby with her too too.  It felt really strange with Fletch not being there, but he was looking out for us because of course he sent us Robbie.

The weather so good to us too, we chose today because the rest of the week is meant to be somewhat wet.  It was lovely, somewhat blowy but the sun shone and it was really lovely.  The light on the Abbey ruins was lovely (see extras).

After a massive cuddle with Robbie we walked through the grounds of the Abbey House Hotel and on down to the Furness Abbey.  We didn't go in today though, just walked around the edge and had a walk in the field opposite it.  Robbie got very excited when we met other dogs but he was soooo good.

After the walk and after Robbie had had some water we went into the Al Fresco section of the hotel for some lunch.  Just a sandwich each, prawns and smoked salmon on brown bloomer (a little of which I shared with Robbie, well just look at those eyes who could resist, certainly not me, with permission from Cumbrialass of course) and very delicious they were too with a lovely cold drink.  

Whilst waiting for our food an older couple came over asking CumbriaLass if they could meet Robbie - he loved it and so did they.  A lovely couple.

Then we just said our farewells and each went our separate ways.  Hopefully it won't be so long before our next meet up and hope neither of us have the traumas we've faced in recent months.

It most certainly has done me the power of good and I feel a bit more invigorated now that I'm home.  I've lost my mojo somewhat, this meet up has given it the kick it very much needed - THANK YOU CUMBRIALASS AND ROBBIE xx.
