She made some friends and
had some fun :-D but not giving
up the day job yet!

It’s going to be a busy week but started gently with a slower Monday, so I tried to take it a bit easier in preparation for future mayhem! That meant dog walks, coffee with older teen and a YouTube watercolour tutorial, undertaken with minimal success.. but it was super quick and fun was had! When the boys were little we had a lovely picture book called Rainbow Rob that we would read to them. Not to spoil it for anyone(!) but Rob is black and white and wants to be more colourful.. he explores his options and ultimately decides we should all embrace who we are meant to be and he stays as he is.. almost an anticlimax(!) but a decent enough message and the phrase that stuck with Mr KCNQ2Haiku and I when he’s basically saying he’s pulling the plug on the colourful idea, is “but he made some friends and had some fun”.. and it’s become our little family phrase, synonymous with, “well, no real progress was made but we’re all still here”. Long winded way of saying, I painted a picture, it was pretty rough but I made some friends and had some fun!!
Ben had his new care team shadowing in school, reports from school seem positive, so that seems like another tick in the box. His blood sugars have been a bit of a rollercoaster but school seem to have handled it. Now just waiting for him to come home, I’m bedtime monitor as Mr KCNQ2Haiku is in London til Wednesday.
