Break
Himself tripped over while he was running yesterday, landing on (he said) his hands and bruising his elbow. I couldn't see anything (being fully medically trained through years of watching Casualty, ER, 24 Hours in A&E, Greys Anatomy etc.) and he was being particularly unhelpful about exactly where it hurt so I assumed it was just a Man Bruise. By this morning however his arm was twice the size it should have been so I packed him off to A&E while I went to the office. Two hours later I got a text to say he's broken* it!
He's waiting for the fracture clinic to get back to him some time in the next week before they confirm treatment, at the moment it's just a sling. I'm hoping it stays that way as we're (supposed to be) flying to Portugal two weeks tomorrow, although if he's still incapacitated neither of us will enjoy it.
He's also a very annoying compliant patient. If the hospital say don't move it for three weeks and 14 minutes he won't move it for three weeks and 14 minutes! I'd wait 14 minutes and then get bored.
*and he didn't even get a photo of his x-ray!!!!!
