Garlic harvest

Charles Dowding, the ‘No Dig’ advocate, recommends lifting garlic now, before the leaves have yellowed and the skins started to decay. Mine are looking ok I think, and I have put them to dry in the greenhouse.
I am trying to get most things planted before we go away next week. Today, the courgettes went in the ground, and I netted the blueberries.
I have some French Beans germinating and they will be going in the cold frame this week, and there’s some more broad beans which should also be ready for planting.
It’s a good time in the vegetable garden, probably not the best time to go away but it’s only a week!
