I've been more stressed out than I realised and my body has been telling me to relax more, but I didn't listen... So, today I talked to my boss and told her what's going on; that all the worrying about leaving the greenhouse, the interview everything rides on, what will happen if that doesn't come through, combined with last Friday and that busy, busy day, had taken a toll on me. She understood. I asked if I could have Thursday off. She told me yes, and then asked if it wouldn't be for the best to take Tuesday too, and she even offered to 'fix' today, if I wanted to go right away. I told her that Tuesday and onwards would be great, and then I got to work.
These summer climbers are super friendly with each other (as I've blipped before) and if you lift one, several toppers over. These ones were four climbing all over each other, and I had to follow one branch after the other. I needed to spread these out on one of our large tables.
Before I did that, my boss and I were moving a bunch of summer flowers, that'd gotten unwanted 'guests', outside to be sprayed with soft soap mix. I suggested we put them in one of the large planter compartments, I just had to move pots from that compartment to the other two next to it. Boss thought it a great idea. Then she looked at some small 'fir tree' like plants and said that these can go to the bin. I suggested instead that we put them in a container and have a sale. She thought that another great idea - I was full of them this morning. :)
Then I got to work untangling and moving the climbers.
After that I went outside to move all the plants (mostly herbs) to the compartments next to the first one. It took some puzzling to fit every pot, but I made it.
Then I had my break and told my friend that I had the rest of the week of, and got the reply 'The whole week?' and that was a yes to that question.
After a bit of talking and joking I went back to finish of my last chore, which was to replant a bunch of Geranium cuttings, all grown up now, and turn them in to 'Mother plants'. I also replanted my two Wild Geraniums and took them both home. My boss suggested that, so I told her I would come back next year with cuttings from them, which she thought was an excellent idea. :)
I moved the Geranium to the Mother geraniums in Greenhouse 1 and then went out to dig up two tomato plants I was buying. I told my boss that the tomato plant I was going to buy was sold out, and she told me that there were a bunch that'd been replanted outside and I could dig them up. So I did. Well, I only had to dig one up, because the other one was already dug up.
All the plants are now home with me, but I need to check the new Geraniums for lice...
I also talked to my friend about the ferns and told him I didn't think they were going to make it. He thought as much and said there were other ways. I'm not sure these other ways will work, but I'll see what he come up with.
