Nuc split

Headed to out apiary to inspect hives.

Cold and windy at start so planted some plants around hives.

First hive queen cells sealed and judging by behaviour ready to go as they were all on the frames. Double search and queen found and put in a nuc with stores , some brood and bees. Hive left with 2 queen cells.

A swarm appeared from a previous split so a cast swarm , caught and put in a nuc.

Helped with polytunnel door with laird and family.

Dinner with eco mum.

Allotment bees inspected, bit windy so not impressed with me. No swarm cells found. 2 honey boxes taken off and 2 more with clearing boards on.

Dogs walked with eco mum.
