One More Cup of Coffee Before I Go… (Bob Dylan)
I had just finished a masterpiece to compete with James Joyce (present company will get the connection) and it really was the longest screed I had written for many a full moon. However, lithium power outage killed the tablet upon which words were written and on re-awakening, all was lost in the ether of the nebulous nothing we call the internet. And so it is with semi-vigor, though waning, I simply mention that this single tiny drop of dark brown nectar, imbibed back whence I hitched with companion Chris into Italy first at the age of 18 was the very seed that much later became Buon GIorno Coffee House and Roasterie. I cannot adequately express how grateful I am for this seemingly insignificant and mundane experience and what it has meant in the last 19 years since we began. It was a joy to taste, once again in one tiny gulp, this Italian nectar. For some reason it always tastes wonderful in Italy and today I had 3 cups, two of which were in petrol stations like this one. They were all exquisite. As for the rest of our exhilarating adventures please read blips amandoAlentejo, bgleyna and miketrappia.
Oh and I’m finally free of the lurgy!
Over and out
