Tango

I'm very impressed by the Leiden hosting. We've been asked to bring a packed lunch each day, but they provided an excellent hot evening meal for everyone yesterday and today. This afternoon, when it was getting warm, an ice cream van turned up with free ice creams for everyone. There was a fairly low-key invitation for anyone who could to make a contribution to the catering but the collection point was kept well away from the food points.

During one of our breaks, some of us went for a walk round the lake in the large wooded park opposite the school and came across a bandstand with people dancing tango. This park was made by people who were unemployed during the depression of the 1930s. I hope that next time the world economy gets blasted, we remember to do such constructive things for the future.
