On This Day

Red Campion

I set out to make a wildflower  blip of  ragged robin this morning but my photos weren't great. Maybe next week it will feature. Meanwhile with thanks to ApolloFly and Nicoiseannie here is a red campion flower from the river footpath. It's doing really well there.

Good chat with my pals this morning and, excitingly, some plans beginning to take shape for later in the year. I realise how busy I am over the summer now that I've looked at my diary for dates. Though I'm not alone in that - we all seem to be in the same boat.

There was more heavy rain overnight and it's pretty breezy but reasonable for a walk. I'm going into Glasgow early to see my son and hope it's dry enough for a walk by the river. Then I'll be scooting off to meet my grandson from school before I come home this evening.

No win on the Premium Bonds this month but there's always July.
