Dinner Prep

I’ll start with the Saga of the Hot Water System!  The weather turned wild this morning and the wind and the rain and the thunder and lightning all caused the plumber to be 1.5 hours late!!! He did text me to say he’d been held up and I could understand that it was definitely a plumbers type of day!! : ).  
Anyways he eventually arrived and diagnosed the problem pretty much straight away and the news wasn’t good, the hot water system was very old, somewhere around 15 to 20 years old and certain parts of it had finally given up the ghost. The reason why there was some hot water was shown to me by a demo that he did by putting the hot tap on over the sink and then turning the hot tap over the shower full on and the water came out luke warm. Grrrr wish I’d known that trick as I would have preferred a luke warm shower instead of a freezing cold one!!  There was more detail to the fault but I couldn’t take it in after he told me that it would cost $2500.00 to replace the unit!!!  Needless to say the job was completed fairly quickly and I paid up and off they went! Whew what a saga!!  The unit has a 10 year warranty so I think it was all worth it!! : 0
Dinner tonight contained these lovely vegetables plus some nice lean chicken and wild rice plus garlic and some spices, very nice indeed and I got a blip out of it!! : )
