Feline Fantasy: Classic Fishtail Transportation

Getting ready to show a big print of this collage at the upcoming Arts United Florida juried “Fantasy Imagined” themed exhibit opening this Friday evening at the Island City Cultural Center in Wilton Manor. Had fun making this, using my electronic scissors and “glue” to paste together photos of a vintage fin-tailed car (1957 Chevy), some favorite cats (the one riding the car atop the fancy tropical fish literally hopped up on the garden wall by the patio and looked over his shoulder at me as if to say, “I’m ready for my closeup”), and the other kitty is a long ago pic of one of our rescue cats. Images of some abstract acrylic painting as well as some hand scribbles on paper are also layered into this digital collage art. Excited to show this piece and have printed this LARGE (36” x 48”) on high definition outdoor metal (so it can weather the abundant humidity and sunshine here). Here’s to whimsy and the wilds of the imagination coming together and swimming along!
