Orkney: A Draughty Day
It has been a quite draughty and damp day. I started it by making some concrete for repairs. The Current Mrs Creel did jobs in the polycrub and garden. We were given a mower; after several days of working at it I got it started. It proved unwieldly to manoeuvre; then it wouldn’t stop. "You're sure about this?" A middle-aged man with a thick beard and a faded flannel shirt, squinted at the postcard in his hand. The name "Lulu Macduff" was scribbled on the back, in a hasty hand; the front depicted an street artist painting a vibrant mural on a crumbling brick wall. Scullion suggested an early Paul Klee. It shows you shouldn’t read this far.
Erratum: Last week’s mention of Ipswich should have obviously been Bogotá.
