I VAnt To Be Alone
The iris are coming into bloom in the garden! Oops..Make that..THIS lone iris is coming into bloom. There it is all by itself where I am sure I never planted it!
I am always surprised when I find a solitary adventurous bloom that has somehow migrated to another part of the garden. I can only assume it was aided and abetted by a squirrel who dug it up and relocated it? Like how else could that lone iris get over there? Or that solitary allium?
There is really nothing exciting happening in my garden right now . There are still a lot of bleeding hearts, a few forget-me-nots, and a lone dianthus out there, along with the allium and iris, but the blooms and bit of colour are quite scattered. The gardening lesson I need to learn and execute is "Plant in Clumps" and create impressive masses rather than having stragglers here and there!
I am sure, if I ask, Shawn will help me corral these stragglers and do some targeted planting this summer...
