A few hours in Reading
Meeting the girls from school, in Reading this time. We arranged to meet for lunch at Côte all arriving into Reading railway station just before midday. All trains arrived on time, we met, wandered and managed to fit a coffee in along the way. Over the years one friend has passed away and today another couldn’t make it just leaving the four of us. As always it was wonderful, you can imagine the chat, we had an enjoyable meal and glass of wine although it felt like in no time we had to return to the station to head home. It was important to meet today, one friend has just lost her husband, my feeling was if she can get there, she lives the furthest away, (when I’m based in Cheltenham) I can certainly make it. Next time it will be easier for her.
The main photo is St Mary’s, a beautiful looking building near the centre, extra shows two of the group wondering which way to go, the third has made a decision. A wet, windy start to the day, later becoming brighter.
