Council cut backs

This large verge had not been cut so far this year. Saves council tax costs including fuel both for mowers and the vehicles that transport them. The verge has become a natural spring meadow habitat for birds, insects and small mammals eg hedgehogs. The heavy rain forecast today was again only drizzle here. I’m not sure why we are in such a rain deprived area of the Cotswolds. Once it had blown through the sun returned.
