Tiny Tuesday ...

... Food.

As I was sitting out this morning photographing the wildlife I saw this tiny margined calligrapher fly (or a hoverfly) on the lavender we just bought.  I quickly went in and got the macro lens in order to get some shots.  Not sure that any food is involved here but he/she certainly in tiny.  And I'm no insect expert but Google lens is telling me it's a margined calligrapher.  But I'm positive about one thing ... our lovely TT host Debbi will know for sure!  Thanks for hosting this month, Debbi!  Must be viewed full screen to appreciate.  

In other news:  Today's weather was incredible ... with low humidity and plenty of sunshine.  Knowing that today was going to be so nice we had made plans to go to Lake Nockamixon for some kayaking around the lake.  And just like our last kayak at Minsi Lake last week we packed up our lunch to eat before we got out on the lake.  We had a wonderful time out on the lake enjoying the sunshine and all the birds that make their home here.  I've added into Extras a shot of a Great Blue Heron that I shot whilst we were out on the lake.
