Watch out! Highland Cow Crossing.

On our way out of Plockton today we were stopped in our tracks by a herd of Highland cows meandering along the road. They were quite happy with their lot, wandering happily along the main road, taking their time and coming very (unnervingly so) close to our hired motor home! We could see our deposit fade by the minute as they threatened to scrape their horns along the side of the van. None of them did however and we sat happily watching them toddle off down the road. There were about 20 of them, bulls, mums and babies. Their horns were huge and the daddy of all bulls was enormous!!!
