Glacial Erratic
On the trail to Herman Creek above the Columbia River in the woods, Carolyn and I came upon this rock, moved into place by glacial activity thousands of year ago. It was a lovely day and the creek was alive with the sounds of water, dippers bobbing up and down, preening on river rock and joyous in their flight up and down the creek. A bee crashed into my nose and stung me. That took us down off the bridge and next to the creek to cool off the sting. Unfortunate, but fortunate to be beside the energy of flowing water, river stones, and Ouzels.
