Attingham with Sue

This morning I went for a walk around Attingham with Sue. She is Matt's best friend's mum and we've known each other since the boys were at nursery together. Sue volunteers at Attingham and it was interesting to chat to her about her volunteering and to find out more about her life as we haven't been out together before. 
We were in the walled garden chatting about roses and I told her about the rose I'd bought the week before. It's a David Austin climber and when I told her it was Claire Austin, she told me that she was her partner's ex-wife! Initially, I thought she just meant that they shared the same name but she meant the Claire Austin - David Austin's daughter! Wow! It was like mixing with gardening royalty by association!!
