Quod oculus meus videt

The Tablet

I started with a visit first thing to hospital to see a senior physiotherapist about my achilles.  He was very thorough and has diagnosed tendonopathy, which I'd already guessed at from my on-line research. Apparently I have been overdoing the exercise I found on the Internet from another NHS trust and he has asked me to limit the stretching exercises to every other day.  He does want me to stand on one leg frequently during the day and I can definitely feel the work it is putting the ankle joint, ligaments and tendons through. I have to go back in six weeks and he has advised it will take a long time to overcome. He is also qualified to do steroid injections, but as I have been advised separately, it is something to avoid if at all possible because of the inherent risks of rupture of the tendon.

I spent many hours today in the loft, sorting out storage and finding stuff that we know longer need to either be recycled or tipped.  It's quite amazing what has been accumulated over the years, including this Wacom Tablet. I've decided to try it again, so have been researching the settings and how it works with Photoshop. I'm sure if I can master the skills, it will prove helpful when processing images.
