It's Yellow Flower Time...

The Carolina Desert-Chicory, Pyrrhopappus carolinianus, aka Florida dandelion, is native throughout the Eastern and South Eastern U.S. Some neighbors call it a weed and attempt to keep it 'neatly mowed', but it just pops right back up. Florida Dandelion attracts pollinators which in turn attract insect-eating birds. Just seeing these beautiful yellow flowers puts a smile on my face!  m
