Cast Aside

We ambled all around the Overlook neighborhood for today’s shortish walk. The old wheelbarrow sits on a forgotten slice of prime real estate, overshadowed by a fence surrounding a big, big, well-tended house and yard.
We walked past Marjorie’s house she reluctantly left two years ago. Now she lives in a cushy, assisted-living place in Seattle, to be safe and near her son, but would rather have stayed put in Portland. Oh, life.
