Hosta Bay

For some time, I was puzzled by the name of the headland to the east of Hosta beach, Raicinis. 
Clearly Norse with ON nis = 'headland' as the second component. I eventually found ON ráka = 'of the stripes' and it all fell into place. Although this is the west end of the beach, one can see why such a prominent feature is reflected in the place names.
