New crop.
Last year our grandson gave us a strawberry plant he had grown. It is looking good at the moment
These are the first fruits. Maybe ripe in a day or too. Just hoping the birds don’t get there first.
We had such an enjoyable meal last night. A good ending to our Wedding Anniversary.
We were quite full after the steak, but decided to share the cheese board.
Very glad we did as they were delicious.
My choice was:
Blacksticks Blue.
A handmade blue cheese from Ingwhite Dairy, Lancashire.
Barin Bigod:
A soft cheese, made using the traditional French Brie - de- Meaux recipe but from Bungay, Suffolk.
King Charles III.
Produced by Castleford cheesemonger, Cryer and Scott, using Isle of Kintyre mature cheddar, blended with black truffle.
Made to celebrate their 25th Anniversary as well as the coronation. Proved so popular they have continued making it. It was fabulous. So now one of my favourites.
I also enjoyed a glass of Port too!
A great end to a special day.
