Naughty little Collie!
Today we did another 'I Walk Cornwall'. We walked from Crowan to the Clowance Estate which was almost 5 miles. It wasn't the most pleasant walk in the world because it was raining, I was naughty and parts of the walk were very wet & muddy!!!
For the first part of the walk, we had to walk through fields of long grass so the human's legs got absolutely soaked. All of me got absolutely soaked!!! We don't think that this was a very popular walk because we didn't see one single other person and also a lot of the paths through the fields, either weren't very well defined or else the farmers had ploughed right up to the edge of the field so the footpath had actually disappeared. By the end of the walk, Ann was convinced that she had trench foot. Lol!
Ann is going to send in a report to 'I Walk Cornwall' because they're actually super speedy at responding to problems and getting them fixed.
Anyway, do you want to know the naughty thing that I did? ................................ We were walking along the edge of a ploughed field when suddenly I put my nose in the air and went sniff, sniff, sniff. I could smell bunnies in the next door field. Unfortunately the next door field was behind a really high hedge. But I didn't let something like that stop me. I found a tiny little hole in the hedge, squeezed myself though and went off looking for bunnies. Ann was furious with me because she was too fat to squeeze through a little hole in the hedge. Ann didn't have a clue where I was and she was calling and calling me, but I just ignored her. Eventually, she walked all the way back to the top of the field she was in, to see if there was a way into the field that I was in. There wasn't and there was no sign of me. Fortunately we were walking with our friend, Angela, so she stood guard at the hole that I had gone through. And eventually, after realising that I couldn't find any bunnies, I squeezed myself back through the hedge and Angela captured me. Angela phoned Ann, but we were in the middle of nowhere, so Ann didn't have any signal, and eventually she made her way back to Angela and was very distraught because she thought I'd be lost forever. As if?!!!! ….............After that I had to go back on my lead for the rest of the walk because Ann said that I couldn't be trusted to behave. Boohoooo.................
…............And when we finished the walk we came back home to brilliant sunshine. We were only walking 8 miles from home. The weather in Cornwall is soooooo localised there's no point in looking at the weather app. The only way to find out what the weather is like, is to wake up in the morning and look out the window. Lol!!
Snoozed for an hour on the sun terrace and then Ann went off for a swim at Porthgwidden Beach with a friend. She didn't take me because she was still angry with me said it would be too busy.
..................And the sun shines on and on, so Ann's going to sit outside with a glass of wine. ...........And I'm still snoozing.
Happy Wednesday Evening Blippers xxxx
