Coniston Old Man

Two days of delivering in house training for manual handling and pollution control is enough! After the last session at Grizedale, I took off to find a good swimming spot East of the Lake. However, the wind was so forceful that there was a constant rush of waves sweeping onto shore. Unlike sea waves they run close together and provide a fish-in-the-face slap every couple of seconds. With the fitful cloud and threat of rain it looked very uninviting so I decided to explore Machell Coppice, part of the bigger Forestry England holding behind instead.
