Strawberries

Hooray we have eaten the strawberries! Tough luck blackbirds, my netting worked. They tasted twice as good being a victory after years of defeat!
My potato weed smothering experiment is coming along nicely too, with some of the plants starting to produce flowers and no real sign of the weeds breaking through. It will be interesting when we come to lift the potatoes and see what is under the black plastic. I suspect I will need another year of smothering as ground elder is so tough, it will be interesting!
