Erin
I headed out this afternoon to the newly refurbished State Headquarters of WA Squash in Belmont. I was keen to see one of the young WA Champions who is now residing in Edinburgh, Scotland and working hard as a squash professional. Her mum Amanda was one of the top ranked players in the world in her time and it's great to see Erin following in her footsteps. Honestly, there was nothing I could contribute to the way Erin hits that squash ball and the amazing way she moves around the court. I did try to pass on a bit of wise old owl strategy though. Couldn't help myself. WA has an incredible group of really young "squashies" who are destined for greatness. It's wonderful to see the game thriving and the fact that they can now strive to represent Australia at the upcoming Olympics for the first time in the history of the sport. Good luck on the weekend Erin, hope you can take out the WA Open Squash title once again.
