Another lousy day weather wise.  But a lovely rainbow to finish off.

I was walking the beast along the beach - well I was doing the walking, she was sprinting hither and thither like usual - when I looked back to check on her and saw this rainbow over my shoulder.

I nearly didn't photograph it because it meant turning my back on the sea, and last time I did that I suffered a rather dramatic dumping.  But this time I put my trust in the sea (and the 50m of sand between me and it) and it treated me right.

It was another dramatic night wind and rain wise.  I spent a lot of it awake wondering how much of the awning and it's contents I'd still have in the morning. Fortunately the awning and contents survived though very wet.  I lost all but one of the dozen retaining pegs.  But all praise to blow up awnings, it was still mostly standing though had moved along the top guide by more than 30cm.  One of the posts was covering the door - just as well I produce enough force to move it.

The whole thing is looking extremely sad today, but I'm not going to bother putting the pegs back in until the storm really passes (hopefully be the weekend).  So I've just thrown some strategic bungy cords at it and hope that's good enough.
