Stop and Smell the Roses

Woke up in Dot’s in Edinburgh and after coffee and a slow start to the day, Bb and I wandered around Morningside and down to Bruntsfield. I like a look in the charity shops and came home with two little clothing bargains.

We took Dot for dinner to The Three Birds tonight. Being able to base ourselves in her flat and get the use of her car these last four months has been much appreciated. Four visits in four months, the first one not long after our return from Rio at the end of January: the second one was tagged onto a trip Bb made to Ireland, the third one was when we arrived and left our bags and then didn’t actually return and sleep there until our last night as we went straight to Largs. And this is our fourth visit. We’ll see her in October in Zaragoza, enshallah.

My blip was in a garden in Morningside. The scent was delicate and delicious.
