Peonies

If I waltz off for three weeks at peony-flowering time I can hardly blame them for not waiting for me... I suppose. 

At least the neighbours who've been watering my garden enjoyed them. (I thanked the gardening children with stroopwafels.)

I have a vast amount of weeding to do. But another day's wait won't make a huge difference.

Meanwhile, I have started catching up with things at home and have absolutely loved going to band practice this evening and sight reading the music I 'should' have been practising at home.
