Stepping Up For Some Shadow Work Close At Hand

Today's image was taken on a very short photographic safari to the nearby Royal British Legion Village, or to be specific it's memorial garden (where I have taken quite a few shots in the past), as the late afternoon sun was casting some glorious shadows down a set of steps whilst highlighting some fallen wisteria blossom and the lichen on their supporting walls.
It still needed something else in the image so I decided to add my own shadow self portrait which I thought looked more dramatic with an outstretched arm and hand but also meaning I had to steady myself to take this shot with my free hand - which has not always had the best of outcomes on other occasions where I have attempted the same photographic manoeuvre!
