It’s been a while since you left us… but I know you’re still here.

Celebrated a close friend’s Mum’s birthday but also his passing. Friends, family and genuine love everywhere. Lots of delicious Peruvian food and a bbq facing the forest, it felt that the earth was celebrating with us. People gathered from different backgrounds and languages but a united love.

Friends from far and wide also joined, even via phone. As expected, the day had a level of naturalness that felt at home. We were dancing, singing, drinking and enjoying our presence. What could have been a somber event turned into a celebration of each other and our friend. As day turned into night, friends performed music and sang heartfelt messages. Speeches acknowledging the spirits and images of our dreams reminded us that you’ll always be there. It was perfect.
