A steadying hand

We heard on Tuesday that Liam's funeral would be this Saturday morning in Germany, so it has been a stressful few days trying to sort out travel and other issues. One of these was looking after Siofra as our usual kennels lady is away this weekend. Through contacts in the local animal rescue, where we got her two and a half years ago, we managed to get someone to stay in our house with her for the next few days. When she and her sister, who works part time in the rescue, came over yesterday to see where everything was they told us that they were the two people who had trapped Siofra in 2022 and brought her in. She had been loose in a field for a while and it took them over two weeks to get her to trust them and approach close enough. A nice piece of serendipity and good karma.
