Crowded out

The poor pigeon was pushed aside by the arrival of all these jackdaws today. There aren’t so many starlings now as the babies have learnt to be independent and can fend for themselves but the offspring of the jackdaws are still dependent on the adults. The stump of an old tree in the garden makes a good feeding station. Heavy showers throughout the day and I got very wet going for my hair cut but we needed the rain badly.
